The latest data shows that India's natural rubber production increased by 3.2% year-on-year to 876000 tons in 2024, compared to 849000 tons in the same period last year. Among them, latex production increased by 4.9% year-on-year to 107000 tons; The production of cigarette adhesive increased by 3.1% year-on-year to 560000 tons; The production of standard rubber increased by 3.8% year-on-year to 189000 tons; Other production decreased by 9% year-on-year to 20000 tons.
The domestic consumption of Tianjian decreased slightly by 0.4% year-on-year to 1.402 million tons, compared to 1.408 million tons in the same period last year. Among them, the consumption of latex decreased by 1% year-on-year to 105000 tons; The consumption of cigarette adhesive increased by 3.7% year-on-year to 594000 tons; The consumption of standard adhesive decreased by 4% year-on-year to 669000 tons; Other consumption increased by 3% year-on-year to 34000 tons.
The production of synthetic rubber increased by 6% year-on-year to 569000 tons, compared to 536000 tons in the same period last year. Among them, the production of styrene butadiene rubber increased by 4% year-on-year to 305000 tons; The production of butadiene rubber decreased by 2% year-on-year to 131000 tons; Other production increased by 22% year-on-year to 133000 tons.
The domestic consumption of synthetic rubber increased by 9.5% year-on-year to 842000 tons, compared to 769000 tons in the same period last year. Among them, the consumption of styrene butadiene rubber increased by 8% year-on-year to 412000 tons; The consumption of butadiene rubber increased by 9% year-on-year to 262000 tons; Other consumption increased by 14% year-on-year to 168000 tons.
In addition, in 2024, the Indian tire manufacturing industry, as the core demand side, will maintain a moderate growth of 0.5% in natural rubber consumption to 957000 tons, while synthetic rubber consumption will achieve a significant growth of 11.3%, reaching 580000 tons.
