South African gold production fell 3.7% in September sales rose 42.3%

According to the National Bureau of Statistics of South Africa,

mining production in South Africa in September 2024 increased by 4.7% year on year,

and mineral sales increased by 8.0% year on year.

Production of platinum group metals increased by 6.7%,

while gold production declined by 3.7%.

Gold sales were up 42.3%,

while platinum group metals sales were down 15.9% year-over-year.
